What is a NTTA Qs accreditation?

Will a trailer affect my vehicle’s performance?

Towing a trailer of any size will affect any vehicles performance and will reduce your miles per gallon range.

What towbar suits my vehicle best?

Any towbar is primarily down to customer preference and budget as a fixed towbar is cheaper than a detachable one.

Do I need to update my insurance details for towing a trailer?

Any towbar fitment is classified as a modification of the vehicle and an insurance company should be informed of a change made to the vehicle, this does not normally have an effect on insurance premiums. It may also be a good idea to add trailer insurance to your policy, if not taken out separately.

How often do I need to service my trailer?

We recommend every 6-12 months or, at least once a year depending on usage.

Can a tow bar be removed from my current vehicle?

Existing towbars and electrics can be removed from your existing vehicle but some original parts may be required to re-assemble the vehicle to roadworthy standards eg bumper crash beam. Most towbars are specific to make and model and cannot be transferred to other manufacturers.
